Arkansas is filled with wonderful places to enjoy the great activity of climbing. I am an avid climber and love what there is to offer. Today I want to talk about two places to climb that are within a daytime drive from central Arkansas.
Cowell is one of the greatest sport climbing locations in all of Arkansas. The primary type of climbing around Cowell consists of many bouldering problems. This is a great place to go hangout, camp, and work on your next bouldering problem.
Horseshoe canyon ranch is near the Arkansas ozarks in Jasper Arkansas. Horseshoe spans for miles of wilderness and provides a central camp site for all who desire to take part In the local activities. Horseshoe boasts hundreds of trad, bouldering, and rope climbing within the ranch area. There are also some really great trails for hiking and free climbing.
Arkansas is a great place for climbing and these are just a few places to go if that’s what you want to do.
